Job Summary

The Government Project Sales & Specification will be responsible for driving business growth through government projects by establishing strong relationships with government departments, builders, architects, consultants, contractors, and project management consultants (PMCs). The role involves securing product specifications in government tenders, identifying upcoming projects, managing the tender process, and ensuring successful execution of projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handling Project Sales
  2. Identify and develop business opportunities in central, state, and local government projects.
  3. Monitor and track upcoming government tenders, infrastructure projects, and institutional opportunities.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement teams, contractors, and consultants.
  5. Generate inquiries and convert opportunities into business orders.
  6. Ensure achievement of assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and collection objectives.
  7. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order processing, supply, and project execution.


Specification Management

  1. Work closely with builders, architects, interior designers, consultants, PMCs, and government agencies to get products approved and specified in project documents.
  2. Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and training sessions for influencers and decision-makers.
  3. Ensure inclusion of company products in project specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
  4. Develop and maintain a database of architects, consultants, and government project stakeholders.
  5. Track specified projects from the design stage through execution to secure business conversion.


Market Intelligence & Reporting

  1. Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and government policies.
  2. Prepare regular sales forecasts, project pipelines, and MIS reports.
  3. Provide updates on project status, specifications secured, and conversion rates.
  4. Analyze market trends and recommend strategies for business growth.


Experience

  1. 5–12 years of experience in government project sales, specification management, or institutional sales.
  2. Proven track record of handling government tenders and securing project specifications.
